Women In Distress Auxiliary (WIDA)
Women in Distress Auxiliary is the fund raising arm of the Women in Distress organization. The mission of WIDA is to promote community awareness and provide financial support through fundraising events and membership dues for Women In Distress of Broward County so they may continue to provide services for victims of domestic violence.
WIDA members further this mission by hosting a major gala in October, Domestic Violence Awareness Month, having two seasonal membership drives and organizing social mixers throughout the year.
Domestic violence hurts the whole family. Our members speak out by saying, “Domestic Violence is Unacceptable.”
For information on becoming a WIDA member, please contact Vice President of Membership Lori Blue at 954-336-6688 or LblueLblue1@aol.com.
